Adeptrix – Booth 1031

Bead-Assisted Mass Spectrometry (BAMS)
Bead-Assisted Mass Spectrometry (BAMS) combines multiplex bead-based chemistries with the power of MALDI-TOF MS detection. Mixtures of beads with suitable probes are incubated with a sample such as a cell lysate. Targets bind to the probes, then the beads self assemble into picowells on a microscope slide, one bead per well, forming a high density array which is then scanned by Imaging MALDI-TOF MS. BAMS applications include affinity separations, enzymatic activity, peptide-protein interactions, low abundance protein determination, and small molecule drug discovery. The BAMS platform provides better selectivity, specificity, and limits of detection than conventional HTS methods. Adeptrix offers assay kits and analytical services based on BAMS.

Pipetting Reservoirs
Robust design and easy-open bags
These reagent reservoirs were created to work with 8 & 12 channel pipettes. Purposefully designed with angled sides and a narrow V-shaped bottom to ensure that every last drop of costly reagents can be easily aspirated. White polystyrene basins are offered in 25, 50 and 100mL volumes.

The thick-wall construction of each basin provides a noticeable difference in product and performance. Low cross bars on each end of the basin give the product much more rigidity and durability than competitive offerings.

The reservoirs were developed for ease of use. They feature pour spouts in every corner, and one larger spout on each reservoir to facilitate spill-free pouring. In addition, the individually wrapped and 5-pack versions are packaged in easy-open "Snap & Tear" bags. No need for scissors, or concerns about damaging the basins as you try to open the bags.

All three sizes are available in either sterile or non-sterile versions. Each features graduations on the inner walls. The basins are offered in bulk (100 pieces), individually packaged, or in bags of 5. The reservoirs are gamma-sterilized and certified RNase, DNase and Pyrogen free.

Biodesy – Booth 1549

Biodesy™ Delta
Biodesy has developed a revolutionary platform that uniquely enables the detection and measurement of protein conformational changes in solution, in real-time. The Biodesy Delta System utilizes an optical phenomenon called second harmonic generation to detect and distinguish very small conformational changes in proteins induced by binding any type of ligand including small molecules, fragments, proteins, and mixtures. The Delta system is providing a seminal advance by providing a link between conformation specific binding and functional consequence, which enables better decision making earlier in the drug discovery process.

Burkert Fluid Control Systems – Booth #231

Cartridge Valve by Burkert
The new cartridge valve (Type 6164) from Burkert simplifies pneumatic piloting controls through optimal integration of a pilot valve in block solutions and plastic injection molded components. Due to its uncompromising reliability, above-average service life and efficient performance, this valve is setting new standards. Install and forget is the best way to describe the new standard cartridge valve from Burkert. It has been developed as a 3/2-way valve with guaranteed reliability and a long life cycle, due to the use of high-quality materials. The compact size of the cartridge valves makes them ideal for the use within block solutions, in which case the valves do not have to be mounted completely on the blocks; instead, they can easily be integrated via "plug and play". This saves costs on materials and reduces the overall weight and size of the system or device. In addition to the use as the "core" of future Burkert valve islands, the valve is also suitable for use in medical instruments. Due to numerous certifications and compliance with conformities, they can be used in dental technology applications or in oxygen control units such as in mechanical ventilation.

Multispan, Inc.– Booth# 1735

GRK2 phosphorylation assay to measure of GRK2 activation
GRK2 Activation by GPCRs is an upstream signaling event that leads to receptor desensitation. Multispan's newly developed GRK2 assay can be used in its One-Cell system along with other binding and functional assays such as, pERK, internalization and beta-arrestin assays, to determine functional selectivity or ligand biases in different physiological pathways.

New GPCR stable cell lines
Multispan has developed 23 new HTS-ready stable cell lines for high throughput screening and compound profiling in multiple assay platforms in 2015. Our stable cell lines are selected directly in relevant functional assays from limited-dilution microplates. Each cell line also goes through the most rigorous QC. In addition to holding industry's highest quality standards, our cell lines are minimally modified and unique in serving as the best tools for studying all signaling-biases in the ONE cell line.

GPCR Assay-ready Division-arrested Cells
Division-arrested cells are prepared from existing stable cell lines. You can seed growth-arrested cells directly into microplates for assays immediately or the next day for HTS, weekly lead optimization, GMP biologics product batch QC. Each vial contains 4 million cells at the time of freezing, which is the amount needed for a 384-well plate. It's a practical option if you would like to bypass all tissue culture to save time and achieve the best run-to-run consistency or if you have a small scale experiment.

GPCR Membrane Preparation
Membranes are prepared directly from our stable cell lines to ensure batch-to-batch consistency. The cells are QC'ed for surface expression by FACS prior to being harvested for membrane preparation. This is the easiest way to obtain reagents for binding assays.

Parker Series R9 Valve
When your application requires high throughput, choose Parker's R9 valve to help lower your cost per sample while meeting challenging performance needs The new Series R9 Valve is just 9 mm wide and can be easily mounted over microplates eliminating transfer lines which improves performance and saves space. This compact valve offers the flow typical of a 16 mm valve in a 9 mm width. When mounted on a manifold the R9’s ultra-small footprint enables smaller and more efficient fluidic circuits by taking less space and shortening fluid channels. This valve also has low carryover and low internal volume with good particulate resistance. R9 valves are capable of a variety of flow and pressure ratings up to 100 psi (6.9 bar) supporting the use of smaller fluid passageways. This enables higher pressures thereby reducing fluid consumption and increasing throughput.
